Help support the undocumented cause.

For those who haven’t heard, on Monday ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents raided a Howard Industries facility in Laurel, MS. According to the AP, there were “some 350 suspected ‘undocumented workers’ detained in the raid.” “Undocumented workers” is my favorite way of describing criminal aliens. “Undocumented workers” is like describing a thief as an “uninvited dinner guest.” Yes these folks are workers, but undocumented they are not; they are very good at and spend a lot of money becoming documented with stolen or counterfeit social security cards and driver’s licenses.

Describing them as undocumented also implies this is merely a paperwork issue. I am pretty sure if I let my driver’s license expire, I couldn’t continue to drive around town as an “undocumented motorist.” Hey there’s an idea. Why not? What difference would it make if no one was hurt? I would still buy gas, pay tolls, and participate in the tax system. What’s the harm? If I got caught and my car was impounded; how inhumane would that be? I am my family’s breadwinner! My family counts on my paycheck, my ability to earn a good living, and my ability drive back and forth to work. What about my wife and three children?!

That’s it; I am starting an activist group who primary purpose is to work on behalf of undocumented motorists. Together we can lobby state and federal agencies and hopefully, eventually, eliminate the unfair and biased procedure for obtaining legal driving status. All of us who are able and willing should be able to just go get a car and drive. Those who are undocumented can drive the cars that others won’t drive; the hot cars without A/C; the rough and dirty cars; cars requiring a lot of manual labor, like those without power steering or power windows. Please help me with this cause, join the Drivers’ Organization for Opportunity and Freedom of the US- DOOFUS.
